You have so far heard about diabetes in adults. But do you know that the risk of diabetes in children is also linked to their lifestyle. Recent research just says something like this.
According to the research, children who are not getting enough sleep in the night are more prone to type 2 diabetes.
Researchers at St. George's University in London, UK, gathered the physical measuring of 4525 children, their blood sample and the cation ear figure of different species of 9 to 10 age group in the UK.
Research found that those who sleep longer for long, their weight is lower than normal children. If sleep time is high then glucose levels in insulin, insulin resistance and blood will be low. In the UK, the NHS advises 10-hour sleep for 10-year-old children.
University professor Christopher G. Owen says that this report shows that by increasing the time of sleep in the early years of children, it helps in reducing body fat and type 2 diabetes levels.
