The robotic initiative changed the form of medal ceremony
A new experiment in the National Games, 'Molly Robot' brought medals for the winners
CM had given instructions for technical initiatives during the games
'Molly Robot' will bring medals in other events of athletics as well
This occasion was for the medal ceremony of athletics event in the National Games on Saturday. There was a decent presence of players and spectators. Everyone was hoping that the medal ceremony to be held shortly would be held traditionally. But in the next moments the entire form of the medal ceremony had changed. With the command of the remote controller, the 'Molly Robot' started moving. He reached the winners with medals in a tray. The guests picked up the medals and put them around the necks of the winners.
In the National Games, host Uttarakhand filled everyone with a pleasant feeling by taking an initiative related to robotic technology. However, except for athletics events, medal ceremonies were held traditionally. That is, young women brought medals for the winners with trays in their hands. There are about 40 events of athletics to be held. According to Sports Director Prashant Arya, 'Molly Robot' will be used during medal ceremonies in most of the athletics events.
Uttarakhand Police's drone team shines
The drone team of Uttarakhand Police worked with a private firm Dtown Robotics on the idea of Molly Robot. Vipin Kumar, Deepankar Bisht, Prashant Chandra, Deepak Bisht, Abhishek Kumar, Prajjwal Rawat of the drone team worked on this project for about one and a half months. While 'Molly Robot' worked in the medal ceremony, another robot assisted during the discus event.
According to Olympian Manish Rawat, he has seen the use of robots in medal ceremonies for the first time.
The Chief Minister had instructed that there should also be technical initiatives in national sports. Therefore, this experiment was done with the help of robotic technology. We are also reducing dependence on human resources by using robotic technology in athletics events like hammer throw, javelin throw, discus throw.
