Chief Minister, U.P. Yogi Adityanath reviewed the ongoing efforts, results so far and future policies towards fulfilling the resolution of making the state a trillion dollar economy.
The economy of the state is in the best condition today due to planned efforts of the last 07 years. The total GDP of the state in the year 2021-22 was Rs 16.45 lakh crore, which increased to more than Rs 25.48 lakh crore in the year 2023-24. The GSDP target this year is Rs 32 lakh crore.
The GDP and per capita income of the state have more than doubled in the last 07 years. Today, the state is becoming the growth engine of the country's development as the second largest economy of the country.
Expected results are being achieved from the efforts of sector-wise development in the state. For the financial year 2023-24, more growth was seen as compared to the target of gross value addition for different sectors.
Estimated for agriculture and allied sectors GVA of Rs 5.85 lakh crore as against Rs 5.98 lakh crore, manufacturing of Rs 2.48 lakh crore as against Rs 2.79 lakh crore, transport, storage and communication registered a growth of 129 percent as against the estimated GVA of Rs 23.24 lakh crore for the state in the year 2023-24, this situation shows the better state of the economy. Our policy and planning are correct, there is a need to accelerate our pace for bigger goals, there should be regular monitoring of this. A nodal officer should be nominated in every department, the nodal officer should hold a weekly review meeting, fortnightly at the level of the Principal Secretary and monthly at the level of the departmental minister. It is necessary to collect data with accuracy, for this, communicate and coordinate with the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation. Year In 2023-24, the compounded annual growth rate of the state was recorded at about 16 percent, this situation is encouraging, the target for the current year is 25 percent.
Seed ecosystem in the agriculture sector has to be improved, for this, efforts like seed park need to be increased.
While encouraging farmers to sow pulses, oilseeds, millet grains,
crop diversification and better supply chain management need to be improved.
Concrete efforts are needed to double the growth rate of production of grains, fruits and vegetables, programs like 'Per Block-One Crop' should be encouraged in horticulture.
The mantra of Reform, Perform and Transform has seen the best results in the secondary sector of the economy,
the fast growth rate of the manufacturing sector is encouraging.
In view of future needs, efforts of expansion of land bank, policy reforms
and ease of doing business will have to be intensified.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ji today addressed a meeting convened at Yojana Bhawan here. In a high-level meeting, ongoing efforts towards fulfilling the resolution of making the state a trillion dollar economy, results so far and future policies were reviewed. Ministers, senior government level officials, advisors and experts were present in the meeting. In the meeting, the Chief Minister also reviewed the work going on in all 10 sectors. On this occasion, consulting agency Deloitte India gave detailed sector-wise information about the current state of the state's economic environment and possible future results, expectations of the industry, etc.
