All the operations of Kovid-19 management are being conducted by establishing integrated command and control centers in every district: Chief Minister

61,775 Kovid help-desks were set up in all government and private hospitals, government offices and industries in the state.

Special Kovid-19 surveillance campaign was conducted through more than 80 thousand teams between 01 and 15 July 2020.

More than 70,000 teams formed and activated for continuous surveillance

Efforts are being made to reduce the death rate by using the latest technology in the treatment of patients in the state.

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that today the number of testing in the country has reached 7 lakhs per day and it is continuously increasing. This is helping to identify and prevent infection. He said that the average fatality rate in India was much lower than the world before and it is continuously decreasing. The percentage of active cases has also come down and recovery rate has increased. This means that our efforts are proving effective. This has increased confidence and confidence among people and reduced fear.

The Prime Minister expressed this view while communicating with the Chief Ministers of the states in view of Kovid-19 today through video conferencing. He said that we get to learn and understand a lot from each other's experiences through discussions with the Chief Ministers. With this, while the ground situation information is more comprehensive, it also shows that we are moving in the right direction.

Chief Ministers of 10 states including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanathji were present during the video conferencing. These include the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Punjab, Bihar, Gujarat and Telangana.

The Prime Minister said that Containment, Contact Tracing and Surveillance are effective weapons against Corona. The public is understanding this, people are cooperating. Public awareness is a good result of our efforts. He said that this is why the system of home quarantine is being implemented in such a good way today. Experts believe that if the case is identified within 72 hours of onset, the infection slows down to a great extent.

The Prime Minister said that today apart from the testing network, we also have the Arogya Setu app. Through this, we can easily do many things. He said that better management is being done in the hospital. Also, efforts like increasing the number of ICU beds have also helped a lot. The experiences of all the states are also benefiting. The results of success have been made by the constant monitoring of the ground reality in the states. He expressed confidence that with the strength of the experience of the states, the country will win the battle against Corona completely and a new beginning will be made.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ji informed the Prime Minister during video conferencing that 1,31,763 positive cases have come out in the state so far. The number of active patients is 48,998, while that of fully treated patients is 80,589. The total number of active patients in home isolation is 20,818. He said that all the operations of Kovid-19 management are being conducted by establishing integrated command and control centers in each district. 61,775 Kovid help-desks have been set up in all government and private hospitals, government offices and industries in the state.

The Chief Minister said that between 01 and 15 July 2020, special Kovid-19 surveillance campaign was conducted through more than 80 thousand teams. During this period, surveying 20.88 crore persons, 1,80,007 symptomatic persons were listed and Kovid was tested. A total of 1,11,424 pulse oximeters and 1,14,125 infrared thermometers have been provided to all Kovid help desks and surveillance teams set up in the state.

The Chief Minister said that more than 70,000 teams have been constituted for continuous surveillance and so far 8.30 crore persons have been sensitized in the rescue measures and 85 thousand symptomatic persons have been identified and their testing done. 1,23,460 of Level-1, 15,812 of Level-2 and 12,490 beds of Level-3 have been established in the state. Over 4,000 of these beds have ICU facilities. Efforts are being made to increase it to 8,000 thousand by the end of August.

The Chief Minister said that efforts are being made to reduce mortality by using latest technology in the treatment of patients. In August, the death rate of Kovid infected patients has come down to 0.6 percent, while the overall mortality rate is 1.7 percent. A total of 120 government labs and 39 private labs in the state are checking for Kovid infection, out of which RTPCR test facility has been established in 33 government labs. Instant testing facility is being provided in 115 hospitals in district hospitals and medical colleges. About 01 lakh persons are being examined every day in the state for the last 15 days, which is the highest in the whole country. The testing rate per 10 lakh population in the state is 14,175, while the country's average is 18,086.

The Chief Minister said that in the last one month, the contribution of the state in the total covid testing done in the country has been 16.76 percent. So far, 33.14 lakh covid testing has been done in the state. By the end of August, RTPR facility is being provided in 17 additional labs. He said that now economic activities are increasing in the state. Revenue of Rs 10,926 crore was received in July last year, compared to Rs 10,675 crore in July this year.

The Chief Minister said that 50.08 lakh workers are employed in 7,96,114 units working in micro, small, medium and large category in the state. On August 07, 2020, under the self-sufficient package, online loan disbursement program was organized and financial loans worth Rs 9,680 crore were sanctioned and distributed. This has created about 13 lakh new jobs. Under the MNREGA, honorarium has been paid to the tune of Rs 4041.82 crore, creating 19.76 crore man days, which is the highest in the country. Arogya Setu App Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of 2.51 crore downloads.

The Chief Minister said that at present the regents and kits are being made available by the Government of India for the RTPCR test. He urged to continue this system even further. He also requested the Government of India to cooperate in the purchase of HFNC devices which are proving useful in order to protect Kovid.

After video conferencing, the Chief Minister instructed the Medical and Health Minister Shri Jai Pratap Singh and Minister of State for Medical and Health Shri Atul Garg to visit different divisions to ensure increase in the number of Kovid beds in the hospitals there.

Chief Secretary Shri RK Tiwari, Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Amit Mohan Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary Chief Minister Shri SP Goel, Secretary Chief Minister Shri Alok Kumar and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
