Voting will be held today in Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat. This seat has been vacant due to the demise of Vinod Khanna, a BJP MP from here. The battle for this seat is between the Congress, the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party.
Prior to the 2019 elections, in the bye-elections of BJP and Modi government, the Litmus Paper Test is being held in Gurdaspur constituency of Punjab.Congress has fielded State President Sunil Jakhar, BJP's businessman Golden Salariya and Aam Aadmi Party General Suresh Khazaria played the stake.
15 lakh 29 thousand voters will decide the fate of 11 candidates Of the 513 polling places in Gudraspur, 171 are sensitive. Strict security arrangements have been made due to the closure of the Pakistan border. VVPat machines are being used for voting.
