The Chief Minister took cognizance of the incident of negligence in the Gudamba police station area of Lucknow Commissionerate in the case of harassment of a girl child last day, directed to take immediate action against the accused.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today instructed all the police and administrative officers to be alert and take precautions in view of the upcoming festivals like Eid, Akshaya Tritiya etc. He said that harmony, peace and law and order are the priority of the state government. He directed to take strict action against those who spread disorder and anarchy.
The Chief Minister was reviewing law and order at his official residence here today through video conferencing with zone and range level police officers and divisional commissioners. He said that there are many important religious festivals in the coming days. The month of Ramadan is going on. Eid festival and Akshaya Tritiya are likely to be on the same day. In such a situation, considering the current environment, the police will have to be extra sensitive. From the station head to the ADG, within the next 24 hours, make a continuous dialogue with the religious leaders of their respective areas, other eminent people of the society.
The Chief Minister said that additional police force should be deployed in sensitive areas. Monitor the situation using drones. Every evening the police force must do foot patrolling. PRV 112 remained active. Religious programs, worship, etc. should be held at the designated place only. Ensure that no religious event takes place by disrupting roadways, and traffic.
Taking cognizance of the incident of negligence in the Gudamba police station area of Lucknow Commissionerate in the case of harassment of a girl child last day, the Chief Minister said that immediate action should be taken against the concerned accused. The concerned SHO should be suspended. Action should be taken against the Inspector of Light, the Beat Constable. After the action, inform the Chief Minister's Office.
Additional Chief Secretary Home Shri Avnish Kumar Awasthi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Information Shri Sanjay Prasad were present on the occasion. ADG (Law and Order) Shri Prashant Kumar along with Zone and Range level police officers and Divisional Commissioners were connected through video conferencing.
