Dr. Rawat first politician to receive Uttarakhand Shaurya Samman

 

Cabinet Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat was honored with the Uttarakhand Shaurya Samman by the Uttarakhand Shaurya Abhiyan Samiti. He was given this honor for the innovation experiments done in the field of higher education and health services. Dr. Rawat is the first politician to be given this award. Earlier, this award has been given to people like Padmashree Jagat Singh Jungli, Padmashree Premchand Sharma etc. who have done innovation and special work in various fields.

State Cabinet Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat was honored with the Shaurya Samman for the year 2022 at a ceremony organized by the Uttarakhand Shaurya Abhiyan Samiti at a private hotel in Dehradun. In which Dr. Rawat was honored by the committee by wearing a citation, memento and shawl. In the program, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat expressed his gratitude to the committee and said that honors and awards are given to encourage better works. He said that he has always been fighting for the society since student life and he got this inspiration from Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and RSS. Dr. Rawat said that providing better health facilities to the last person of the state and awakening the light of education are among his priorities. He said that Uttarakhand is the first state in the country where the new education policy will be implemented in the coming July. Similarly, in the field of health, people are being given free treatment up to 5 lakh under Atal Ayushman Yojana. So far seven and a half lakh people have taken advantage of this scheme. Air ambulance service has been started for remote areas of the state, recently 352 patients have been airlifted from Kedarnath. Dr. Rawat praised the committee for honoring the people working in different fields. In the program, member of the committee and former cabinet minister Mohan Singh said that Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat is such a leader in Uttarakhand who is a popular public representative and a true public servant. Those who have not only done unprecedented development work in their constituency but have also been successful in playing active participation in the entire state. During his last tenure, he has done remedial work in all his departments as per the public expectations. Especially in the higher education department, he did unprecedented and innovative experiments which were successful. Keeping in view this methodology of Dr. Rawat, the committee decided to confer this year's Uttarakhand Shaurya Samman to him. With this, Dr. Rawat is the first political person who has been selected for this honor by the committee. Earlier, the committee honored many personalities including Padmashree Jagat Singh Jungli, Padmashree Premchand Sharma with Uttarakhand Samman.

Dr. Himanshu Das, Director of National Institute of Visually Impaired, Vice Chancellor of Himalayan University, Prof. J.P. Pachauri, Advisor RUSA Prof. M.S.M. Rawat, Prof. K.D. Purohit, President of Hill Development Research Institute Dr. Arvind Darmora, Prof. Mohan Singh Panwar, former Director Horticulture Dr. Hundreds of people including BS Negi, former general SSB SS Kantura were present.
