He honoured meritorious students, distributed tablets to students and certificates to students who completed O level computer training, distributed assistive devices to Divyangjan
The Chief Minister transferred scholarships worth Rs 54.38 crore to the accounts of 2,53,211 students belonging to backward classes
Whenever Divyangjan got encouragement, support and opportunity from the society,
they gave the benefit of their talent to the country, the world and humanity: Chief Minister
Adopting the Prime Minister’s mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’, the state government is working for the development of every section through the Department of Disabled Empowerment and Backward Classes Welfare
An example of the talent and energy of Divyangjan was the excellent performance of Divyangjan players in Paris Paralympics
In the state, for the welfare of Divyangjan Many schemes are being run
The monthly pension amount of Rs 300 given to Divyangjan has been increased to Rs 1,000.
At present, 11 lakh Divyangjans are getting the benefit of Rs 12,000 pension per year.
Rs 3,000 per month is being provided as leprosy pension.
4% reservation for Divyangjans in government services.
Prosthetic limbs and assistive devices like motorized tricycle, wheelchair and smart stick are being provided to Divyangjans.
Rs 40 crore has been arranged for free travel of Divyangjans in Transport Corporation buses.
Incentive amount is provided under Shadi-Vivah Protsahan Puraskar Yojana, money is provided to the beneficiary under Shop Construction/Operation Scheme.
The amount given for surgery has been increased from Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000.
Rs 6 lakh for cochlear implant Amount of Rs. was given
In the year 2016-17, the total budget of the backward class welfare department was Rs. 1,295 crores,
It was increased by about 116 percent to about Rs. 2,800 crores
In the year 2016-17, a total of Rs. 107 crores was allocated for pre-matric scholarship and 05 lakh 19 thousand students were benefited by it,
We increased it to Rs. 160 crore 16 lakhs, now 07 lakh 58 thousand students are benefited by it
At present, by spending Rs. 2,070 crores, the benefit of post-matric scholarship and fee reimbursement is being provided to 19 lakh 80 thousand students, it has been increased by about Rs. 1100 crores as compared to the year 2016-17, about 07 lakh additional students are benefited by it
Under the marriage grant scheme, Rs. 141 crores were allocated in the year 2016-17 70 thousand daughters were able to benefit from the amount of Rs.,
Currently 01 lakh daughters are being benefited with the amount of Rs. 200 crore

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that whenever the Divyangjan got encouragement and support and opportunity from the society, they have given the benefit of their talent to the country, the world and humanity. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji respected their sentiments by giving the word Divyangjan and inspired them to move forward in every field of life in a dignified manner. Adopting the Prime Minister's mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas', the state government is working for the development of every section through the Department of Disabled Empowerment and Backward Classes Welfare.
The Chief Minister was expressing his views in the 'State Level Award Distribution Ceremony' organized at Lok Bhavan here today on the occasion of 'World Disabled Day'. On this occasion, the Chief Minister honored various individuals and institutions doing excellent work in the field of Divyangjan welfare with state level awards.
The Chief Minister honored the meritorious students who passed the academic session 2023-24 examination of high school and intermediate schools run by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. He distributed tablets to the students of Dr. Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University and certificates to the students who completed O level computer training under the Backward Classes Welfare Department. The Chief Minister transferred scholarships worth Rs 54 crore 38 lakh to the accounts of 02 lakh 53 thousand 211 students belonging to backward classes through DBT. The Chief Minister distributed various types of assistive devices to the disabled. A welcome song was presented by the disabled girl students in the program. On this occasion, a short film was also screened on the schemes run by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. The Chief Minister said that today is World Disability Day. Today is also National Advocates' Day and the birth anniversary of the country's first President, freedom fighter, eminent advocate and Chairman of the Constituent Assembly, Dr. Rajendra Prasad. While congratulating on World Disabled Day and National Advocates Day, he said that there are many examples in front of us like Rishi Ashtavakra, Mahakavi Surdas, Physicist Mr. Stephen Hawking who presented the theory of universe to the world and Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya ji who is currently giving a new direction to the society with his divine voice, who have proved that they are no less than anyone. World Disabled Day is an opportunity to provide a new inspiration to the society to adopt this approach.
